Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once.....

Dès la salve envoyé par la batterie au début de "Förlupna Trälar och Bymänn", j'ai tout de suite compris que j'allais écouter du grand black metal. Et de fait, je n'ai pas été déçu. Tout est tellement bon que je ne sais pas par où commencer. Je pourrais parler du chant très sauvage (surtout sur "Stridsbelystna Viljor") ou des compositions à la guitare — et là, impossible de sélectionner une seule piste en particulier —, ou des deux interludes qui ne relâchent pas la tension !! C'est la folie !

Parmi tous les pseudonymes créés par Swartadauþuz, aucun ne capture mieux le caractère dantesque de la nature que Gnipahålan : I Blodets Kamp... en apporte la preuve en très peu de temps pour les impatients. Les deux pistes de cet E.P. sont construites sur le même schéma : les introductions, bien que lentes, font monter la tension. Quand les nuages éclatent, le black metal atmosphérique accélère et se transforme en déluge colérique. Les riffs sont agressifs et spectaculaires. Très puissant !
